Matt DiLorenzo is the Chief Executive Officer of TYR Sport, Inc., a leading manufacturer of technical apparel and equipment for swimmers and triathletes.
As CEO of TYR, Dilorenzo is extremely dedicated to product innovation, an area that has catapulted the company to new heights within the industry. Under DiLorenzo’s leadership, TYR has engineered the cutting-edge Freak of Nature wetsuit, TYR Custom Goggles (the first of its kind in the industry), the AP12 speedsuit and the latest breakthrough in sports hydration, TYR Endurance Sport.
DiLorenzo has continued to build the brand through key partnerships and sponsorships. He successfully pushed for key professionals to represent TYR, including four-time Ironman World Champion Chrissie Wellington and four-time Olympic gold medalist Matt Grevers. He also helped land major TYR partnerships, including U.S.A Swimming, U.S.A. Triathlon, U.S.A Water Polo, IRONMAN and several international federations. Additionally, DiLorenzo has refreshed the company’s marketing strategies and pioneered TYR’s social presence.
In recognition of his major contributions to his company and the industry as a whole, Dilorenzo was presented with the Sporting Goods Business 40 Under 40 award by The SportsOneSource Group in 2013.
Prior to joining TYR, DiLorenzo was a research analyst at P2 Management in New York City; he performed investment research, portfolio maintenance/monitoring and operational responsibilities for a long/short equity hedge fund. DiLorenzo is a graduate of Villanova University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in both finance and economics.
