Branden Muhl co-founded Odin Brands with Matthew DiLorenzo in 2011. At Odin Brands, Muhl fulfills operational roles spanning product development, manufacturing, and distribution.
Muhl is the Chief Executive Officer of Mahaska Bottling Company, a Midwest based independent beverage brand, manufacturing, and distribution company with PepsiCo and Dr Pepper Snapple Group franchise appointments. As a fifth generation owner of Mahaska, Muhl continues more than a century of family tradition in the formulation, manufacturing, marketing, and distribution of food and beverage products. Muhl also supervises Mahaska owned affiliates across independent brands, full-line vending, foodservice, logistics, trucking, and media.
In addition to his role at Mahaska, Muhl serves as Chief Investment Officer of The B Group, where he manages long-short investments in biotechnology, genetic sequencing, and molecular diagnostic equities. The B Group has realized annual returns of 31.4% since its inception in 2006. In recent years, The B Group has broadened its mandate to include private investments. As a result, Muhl serves as Co-Manager of The Greystone & Santa Barbara Hotel redevelopment project in Miami Beach, FL.
Prior to his current activities, Muhl spent eight years on Wall Street as a long-short equity portfolio manager at Balyasny Asset Management and Lehman Brothers Investment Bank where he focused on healthcare equities.
Muhl holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from The University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2004.
